Personal project during summer of 2021, first sketched during initial COVID-19 pandemic. Oversight by Lynette Whitesell.
Staged was created with the intent of bringing communities together during a pandemic setting, as well as allowing individuals to have a public creative outlet besides social media.
Music venues everywhere are hurting, profits have never been lower. Many small mom-and-pop venues are declaring bankruptcy, and ultimately closing for good.
With the implementation of Staged, it would help local economies grow and allow it’s residents to enjoy and/or preform at these curated events.
Staged was an idea to create a collapsible stage (made from risers) and have it travel all over Muncie. Local talent would be able to showcase, set-up shops, food vendors. Mini weekly festivals, each location would be secret, or leave it to the public to create posters as art. Students would stumble upon the shows and hopefully stay/support.

By STAGED having a purple/ black/ green color scheme, it stuck out when compared to other live music apps. Reds, blues, even orange. One of my favorite music apps, Spotify, has a similar shade of vibrant green. It inspired me to pair it with an equally calm lilac.
