This booklet is printed back to front with Japanese publication in mind.
When researching Japanese culture, I could not have been more excited and intrigued. From subcultures to architecture, Japan's beauty comes in many forms. This was a project to design a coffee table-like travel book to show different parts of a country's culture.
It is important to plan out every page with sketches before designing pages. Make sure the body copy is not too wordy or has non-important information. Do not be overly descriptive, but also do not leave out crucial details.
2 page spread about the Ruriko Temple. Ruriko-in Temple is one of the most sought after tourist sites in Kyoto, as the temple is open for public only twice a year in spring and autumn. The main attraction of the temple is maple trees which display astonishing scenery collaborating with the historical buildings and traditional Japanese gardens at the temple.
